Purpose:
The purpose of this six week, hour-long program is to teach students about the necessary habits, systems, and mindset required for success in school today and in the workplace tomorrow. Each weekly session will focus on a specific topic and build on previous sessions. Students will come away with an enhanced level of self-discovery, as well as explicit executive functioning tools and systems that can be applied to staying on top of tasks and assignments, keeping materials organized and monitoring their own progress.
Goals:
- To enhance student self-discovery as learners and independent thinkers.
- To develop personal systems for materials management of information, assignments and supplies.
- To examine the student evaluation process in school and improve readiness for tests, presentations and written assignments.
